Quick answers to the questions we hear most often about our services. Still need help? Our team is just a call away. Contact us directly.
Every file you upload gets a design-for-manufacturing check before it ever touches a laser bed. We look for impossible internal radii, hole-to-edge distances that will tear out, and bend reliefs that are too narrow for the material. If something in your drawing will break during forming or cut poorly, we flag it in your quote and tell you exactly what to adjust. We’d rather catch a problem on screen than ship you a box of scrap.
We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, SVG, and PDF files. STEP is our preferred format because it cleanly carries full 3D geometry, bend lines, and hole placements without translation errors. If you are uploading a 2D drawing, DXF works best. If you are not sure whether your file will work, email it to info@laserbend.com so we can check it before you order.
Yes. Upload your file, pick your material and services, and the quote generates in seconds. The algorithm factors in sheet yield, cut time, material cost, and any secondary operations like bending or hardware. Change the quantity or thickness and the price updates live. There are no hidden fees and no sales rep padding the number. What you see is what you pay.
Yes. We run laser cutting, press brake forming, MIG/TIG welding, tapping, hardware insertion, and powder coating under the same roof. You configure everything in one quote and receive one shipment of finished parts. No chasing three vendors, no blame-shifting between shops when a hole is off, and no freight costs between separate fabricators. One file, one quote, one delivery.
We cut aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel. We don’t cut non-metals, wood, plastics, or exotic alloys like titanium or Inconel.
We cut round, square, and rectangular tubing with wall thicknesses ranging from light gauge up to 0.250 inches. The tube profile — round, square, or rectangular — doesn’t affect what’s cuttable; wall thickness and material type do.
PEM hardware installs cleanly into aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel — all the materials we stock and cut. The main constraint isn’t the metal type but the material thickness: the sheet must be thick enough for the hardware shank to displace properly without punching through the back face. We check this automatically against your file when PEM insertion is selected at checkout.
